I'd be a willing test subject for this experiment. Because the only time I have one beer is if it's the last one in the fridge! But I find that enjoying beer whilst tying only slows me down...both the drinking and tying. So maybe I'll have 3 beers but I don't think the flies get sloppier per say, the production time just goes down.

For late-afternoon tying sessions, I stick with an occasional-- and I do mean occasional --gin and tonic, as a recent research report has shown that "clear" alcohols are better(?) for overall health.

That said, if I'm tying later in the evening, you might find a "wee dram" somewhere close by...

Unless we're into the "hot weather" months, I don't normally drink beer. But, sometimes, an occasion calls for a cold one...

Whatever you choose to have one at the bench or on the river, moderation and common sense-- and sparse wraps --are the keys. You can't go wrong if, as the man who says, you "stay thirsty, my friends..."

Another craft beer guy here, as this state has a ton of craft breweries......and if I've had an epiphany about using dog hair, or my wife's blond locks........I tend to pour kentucky bourbon over ice.........
