Looks great but does it float.

Renegades are indeed a good snail fly in the White Mountain lakes here in AZ but generally drifted on top then give it a twitch to sink it, rinse/repeat.

I guess a certain times of the year snails release and float to the surface. It then that you can catch fish with their rattling bellies.
