    better than that here are the instructions given to me by Bob himself. if you look at the pics you can see that the eyes are placed at least 1/3 back from eye, therefor giving the fly a dipping/darting configuration instead of being mounted further forward where it will cause a jigging motion. This is how Bob explained to me in 1999 when he wrote the instructions.
    also note where he ties the material down in front of the eyes keeping it away from being bound down tight to eyes.

    Yes you did -- I'll just have to live with my shame for the next few days .

    BTW -- "Clouser" minnows with a jigging action catch the hell out of the fish at times, lol. I don't feel bad saying it, because it's not like I'm destroying his pattern or something.

    that's fine I tie them to jig too, just the orginals were not. try bob popivics jiggy fly for real jig like action..

    You could tie up a new one and put the eyes wherever you damn well please.

    Then start a new thread and ask us what we think of the new "Thoreson" minnow.
