Default any experience with j:son sweden flies?

So they look really cool but the downside is that it's stupid expensive to get all the patterns. But was wondering if anyone has tried them?

Nice flies. For that price they should be guaranteed to catch fish.

This is my common practice. I consider them "example" or "type" flies.

I do the same when I travel and fish- I buy samples of the local ties, especially hoppers and stonefly nymphs to see what the locals are fishing...sizes, colors, styles.

The Feathered Hook carries them and I have used the on Penns Creek. They are effective, but so are my presentations and drifts . Anyhow, only gripe I have is the burnt wings don't exactly hold up after catching multiple fish.

These look more decorative than practical for fishing IMO.

Impressionistic patterns that stand the test of time have always been more effective for me personally.
