Default ProLite Tying Lamp

Hey Gang

Does anyone have any experience with the ProLite Tying Lamp? (ProLite Dual Headlight Lamp | Rite Bobbin ) dual light or magnifier. I am realizing that I need a light more and more when tying flies. Any help would be appreciated!

Bill: I haven't but it looks like it might be a good lamp for tying. Personally, I use an Ott-Lite (the floor stand model) that the quilters love due to the near natural light it puts out.

+1 to Larry's post.

Get some kind of Ott Lite. They will always be in business and you will be able to get replacement parts and bulbs just about everywhere. Wait for a 50% off coupon from JoAnnes or Michaels.

Personally, I use the portable version (first photo) so I can take it with me on fly fishing trips and when I give tying demos. For a fixed base model, the ones with a flexible neck allow you to position the lamp just about at any level and angle.

Here some photos of the Ott Lite that I grabbed off the net.
