i'm looking for a recipe for the following fly pattern.

Fravel's Fancy

The fly was popular on North Park and Laramie area lakes in the 70's

a little history would also be nice

all help is greatly appreciated

That's a tough one. I have found; Wickhams, Watsons, Campbells, Hoflands, Evans. But the one that keeps coming around more than the others is the Flights Fancy. I did find a fly called the Laramie, but I don't think it's the one your looking for.

Just a curious question, but do you think that Fravel's Fancy may have changed to Flight's Fancy?

I haven't heard of that pattern, but it was way before I lived in Laramie. I would suggest calling Four Seasons Anglers in Laramie and ask either Don or John, the owners if they have ever heard of that pattern.
