Default Re: What have you been tying today?

I tied a super obnoxious colored clouser this weekend. I plan to use it in FL this winter. It looks like a rainbow of bucktail exploded on my hook.

Sounds awesome. I will be there to document this technicolor explosion. I'm a fan of the electric chicken (chartreuse and pink) so I'm sure the dreamcoat Clouser will also work

Yeah i've got a couple of those too. When I get some more hooks I'll make a couple others. If I can recall, I think I used 7 colors and flash in it. If it catches soemthing i will stop fishing for the day and just drink beer and photograph.

A couple more, trying to look like baby bows.

On the left I used twisted pink marabou for the body, I think it should have a nice effect when wet, and white over golden olive wings and on the right is white over green grizzly with a pink floss body with a hot pink bucktail belly.

They both look good.

Are you tying them Rangeley style; wings mounted on the sides, or Eastern Streamer style with the wings mounted on top of the hook (I can't tell from the pics, but it looks like they're top mounted; Eastern style, like a Black Ghost).

Nice job on the head on the far fly.

Bit of both really, it depends on what happens when I sit down at the vise. I don't prefer one over the other just want different styles for different waters.

At least for part of it he'll be fishing with me around the Sarasota area. Yeah, I'll be there for my wedding, but of course we'll be fishing as much as we can.
