Still working on the spun deer hair Green Machine patterns and variations. I like both the shades of green; the emerald and olive. I have some nice long slender red hackles that I am hoping will work instead of the rusty brown. We'll have to wait and see. Also tied a shrimpy nymph. The back is pearlescent sheet.

Tied this up tonight. Getting the claws right with the zonker strips proved to be more difficult than I expected. The length of the fur on the strips makes it very easy to make the claws too long.

I'm pretty happy with how this one turned out though.

Loving those green machines and the yellow version is sweet my friend wants me to build him one.

I tied up this pink maribou streamer tonight when watching Big Bang Theory:

Tied on a Mustad #2 salmon hook
Gold pheasant crest for the tail
    bronze thread for tag
Pink 3 Uni thread for butt
    Gold Wire body
    Pink Maribou wing
    Yellow hackle neck

Pictures taken using fish eye as they are the ones going to be eating it.

In preparation for the spring, I've been working on a box of patterns that have been successful at Lake Davis in Northern California. Here's a sample of what's going in the box:

Its thin skin. You could probably use a zip loc bag in a pinch.
