That Hornberg was outstanding. It is one of my favorite patterns. Flymphs are too. Very nice flies being posted lately.
As long as I get a bite, I don't want to leave!

I'm betting that your foam wings will catch so much air that they'll be pretty much uncastable on any tippet.
For a dry fly, you might try a foam post with a parachute hackle. That's not going to "helicopter"
Other wise try tying your foam down like the shell back on a humpy
You could actually do both at once on a parachute humpy
OK, After a design flaw adjustment. Hopefully it will resist leader twist.

    Articulated perch:

55mm articulating shank (fish skullz brand)
    #2 stainless hook
    Bunny back
    'Wing n' Flash' pearl
    'Wing n' Flash' gunmetal
    UV ice dub rust
    And some large dumbell eyes

A large streamer for bass, pike, musky, or big trout where you can find them together. Very good swimming action, and the long shank should help keep toothy fish on the line without steel leader. The chartreuse version is good at night.

Those look awesome! I've never tied an articulated fly before, but I have fished with them plenty. Perhaps it's time I step up tying my game.

    Great flies!

Tbblom, those articulated flies are awesome! I really love the way you blended the colors for the bodies!

I don't always tie the prettiest flies. I tie productive flies.

    Mista_Bob's Attractor Nymph

    Mista_Bob's Glitter Worms

This fly is tied on a red salmon egg hook with lavender UV dubbing and a rainbow tungsten bead. Yes, it works.

    Trout Crack Variation

And finally, my MOST PRODUCTIVE fly EVER...
    Mista_Bob's Glitter Midge.

I've caught more fish on this fly than any other fly, bar none. If nothing else is working, this will. Rainbows, Browns, Cutthroat, Brook, Kokanee, Chubs, Suckers, Minnows, Sculpin, everything takes this fly, year-round every year. Tying this fly is silly, but it'll outfish a red zebra midge 10:1. No joke. It's crazy, but it works.

    Exactly.

Wet and Wild Wild Shine Glitter nail polish with Sally Hansen Hard as Nails over top. I used to feel weird using it, but it works so well. That's also what's on my worms, with pink tinsel, as well.

Funny thing is, the other day I was watching a fly tying parody video on YouTube and he used glitter nail polish and I was like, "Hey I actually use that stuff!" Hahaha.
