    Playing with some new materials.

    Waxed "leather thread" caddis. The body is a strand of waxed leather thread I found at a craft store. Comes corded in 4 stands.

    Has a subtle translucent quality that shows brown tying thread underneath.

    Poor quality materials and tools are destined to discourage beginner tiers and cause greater expense when the time comes to replace them.

    Well, the warm water fish seem to like the blue.
