A first for me. I see you guys tie stuff like this and wanted to try. I picked up a pack of these hooks today (TMC7999). Holy **** they're expensive. Why so expensive?!?
I don't know what to call it. Just sorta wung it (winged it?).
    I think It'll fish.

That'll work fine, what do you call expensive with reference to the hooks?

Anywhere can be the land of great expectations, broken dreams, or paradise found, it's all up to you.

They were like $20 for a 25 pack. I don’t know. I’m sure, as with all things fly fishing, you could probably spend much more for similar products. It seems like a lot compared to the $6 packs of Mustad hooks I’m used to (shrugs).

gamakatsu t10-6h and other brands of hooks are relatively inexpensive at jstockard when they have their 15% off hook sales

Poor quality materials and tools are destined to discourage beginner tiers and cause greater expense when the time comes to replace them.
