newbie to the forum
hello all,
just wanted to say hi and introduce myself.
my name is ryan I'm from mayville, wisconsin. and a friend/coworker convinced me to buy a fly rod & reel last fall. so I practiced casting till the weather
got nasty. so I'm super pumped to finally wet the line soon here.
I also got into tying my own flies which I found to be super fun.

I also do woodworking, hunting, trapping, bow fishing for carp, sporting clays and
also that pesky thing called work.

I live in mayville with my lovely wife lisa and our yellow lab (parker)

hope to meet and/or chat with some of you.
happy fishing, ryan

Welcome! You're not the only one who got his first fly rod as the weather turned nasty. Look forward to hearing about your first times on the water.
