Trout fishing near Wells State Park in UP Michigan

Will be camping at Well State Park south of Escanaba soon. Just wondering if there are any trout in the area rivers/creeks. I see the Cedar River is nearby and perhaps there may be some brookie action upstream. Any ideas?:smile:

Upper parts of the Ford and the Escanaba river are not too far away. Both are good trout rivers. Smallmouth, too.

We're having a lot of rain up here and a lot of rivers are flooding.

Houghton had a tremendous amount of damage. Roads washed away, houses swept away, bridges out... still raining, too.

These roads and houses were not even near rivers - just on hills.
