  1. Default Dredging Structure

    I usually don't fish down stream. There are exemptions to every rule. This trout was caught fishing downstream under all that CRAZY cover. What would you use and how would you battle the trout

    What I would use? Depends on if I knew the fish was there or not and if he were actively feeding. Probably a big attractor on a heavy leader like a 12 lb floro. If I hooked him I would pull him away from the cover win lose or draw.

    Hmmm.......I fish a lot of soft-hackles. Consequently, I fish across and downstream a lot. But, I admit, I'd need my steelhead rig to yank them up out of that mess! Incidentally, I'm a photographer by trade .........something mighty funky looking about that photo?!
