That takes things a little beyond just wrapping guides and gluing on a cork and seat, those get into woodworking art pretty deep I think.

Wow, those are really nice looking rods! I've been thinking about getting into rod building; I just ordered a book by Art Scheck titled "Fly Rod Building Made Easy: A Complete Step-by-Step Guide to Making a High-Quality Fly Rod on a Budget" As if I need any more rods....

Careful...I needed one rod when I started. I now have 38...and need 5 more....:rolleyes:

I tip my hat, Sir. Very nice. Admirable work indeed. Thanks for sharing and inspiring.

I caught two grilse tonight on two rods I've built, a d-h from the bank and a s-h from the float tube - and one took a fly I tied. Whisky, then bed, a happy man indeed. :)
