I like to wander along the creek behind my home and see what is emerging, flying, crawling etc.
The other night I took a blacklight flashlight after dark to highlight the bugs. Many will glow in the blacklight.

They are pretty cool...
I photographed one indoors, on a plain white background once (old-school macro shot on slide film with reversed wide-angle lens/bellows)...

From a couple mornings ago. A grey drake nymph crawled out, split it's skin, and the dun crawled up next to an October caddis shuck to dry it's wings. Both these bugs crawl out and emerge on the rocks, so the adults aren't available to the trout till it's egg laying time.
