No hello or anything? Alright, hi, welcome to our forum :)

Find yourself a place that has silver sided channel cats and you'll be surprised at what you can catch. I've caught Channel Cats that were as challenging as a big steelhead when I lived back east.

I landed one about a half an hour ago. They are fun to catch on a fly rod. It took a black wooly bugger.

I get them on the rip rap banks on buggers. Mostly black ones. I’ll throw small clousers at them also. Bead chain eyes to keep the weight down for a slower sink. A few 2 lb channels go nicely into the fryer. Just add slaw and hushpuppies.

Somehow catfish strike me as a more appropriate target for noodling than flyfishing, but I'd give it a go for sure. Come to think of it, I'd try for them with either technique.
