Got some wee fingernails at DollarTree so tried some lips with them. Cut lil tab and tied/Solarez to a hook and a bead, foam, hackles, swimmer tail. It wiggles nicely and bead w/foam makes slow sinker. Not sure about durability yet...Video don’t worky...Tried the plastic egg for lips...

I love the use of unconventional materials in your flies. I’ve tied many flies with drunk and disorderly type heads on them but none of them dip and dive quite like a crank bait. I’m sure your fly does.

I have fooled around with similar lipped syle flies. Fishing them requires an "attitude adjustment" when it comes to casting. When you try to pull the the fly up out the water for a back cast, the fly takes a mind of it's own and wants to dive deeper!
