So there is a first edition an a second edition. Will I be good to go with the first edition. Can't imagine there being more bugs out there.

That book (first edition) was one of the two books that turned fly fishing from frustration to great fun for me as a young man trying to teach myself the sport. (The other was Tom Rosenbauer's "The Orvis Guide to Fly Fishing.")

I haven't seen the second edition, but I'm sure you'll enjoy either edition and Mr. Whitlock's wonderful drawings.

The first edition should be a solid read. Second edition is a second printing with typo errors corrected and updates to some of the scientific names.

In addition to Troutnut, I write a buggy blog that may be of interest: troutfodder.blogspot.com
