Floating line... WF or DT

Mostly fish a 5 wt for stream/river trout, always use a DT. 6wt and up for other situations and things, I'll use a shooting head, or a WF. DT gives you two useable ends, so why not.

I definitely do not fish enough! In almost 50 years of fly fishing exclusively with DTs I have never felt the need to use the other end. I still use DT lines on 4, 5, and 6 weights, (I don't use any other weights).

I always thought DT lines were old school and just for old guys, but I've realized how much a DT line can help if you are a dedicated nymph fisherman. Put that on a stiff rod and mend mend mend!!
...Agree mcphoto....much easier to mend...#4-5 lines, but often lazy and settle with a wf5.
