This is my version of a Orvis Superfine bamboo rod. Mine’s 5’7” 4/5 wt one piece with a wine cork grip/reelseat with the bands cut from a crappy old reelseat. I just lawn cast it with a Featherweight loaded with a 5 wt Sylk line....55’ with a little extra oomph on the forward stroke. Heading to a local lake now....

It would have been a hoot if you had put a big white label on the rod.
Printed on top would be DMW 5'7" 4/5 wt.

I clicked on this post expecting to hate it, but I have to say...it's pretty cool! Not many rods make a CFO 123 look big...time for a II for that puppy!

I finally got some action on this rod today! I C&R’d two cutts, one rainbow and broke off another. All on chironomids under an indicator. The lake was 2/3 frozen with a thin sheet of ice, but mostly gone by the end of the day....glad I was in my pram!
