I’ve had my Wilderness Systems Rascal for 25 years. I give thought to upgrading but can never do that to my trusty water steed.

I have two Jackson Mayflies and really like them but just ordered what I wanted when I bought the Jacksons two years ago, a Nucanoe Frontier 12.
The Jacksons are tough as nails and are stablr but the higher seat in the Nucanoe is what I need to make it easier to stand and fish.

Good morning-

New guy here. Brother, those little Rascals are WONDERFUL little boats. Our first Rascal was the kayak that got me into kayak fishing long, long ago. I regret that the little boat is no longer made- I'd buy another one- maybe two.

Nice photo-

good day to all- Ed

Good afternoon to all-

that's a very well-done storage system for your kayak. Good work.

Where is Cave Springs in Arkansas? I spent a lot fo time there, and I don't remember being near Cave Springs.

good day to all- Ed

Cave is a little over 4 miles west of Lowell in Benton County. If you go to XNA from the south or east you'll pretty much go through Cave Springs. It's a bedroom community for Bentonville, Rogers, Springdale, etc. We've got a Dollar General, three gas stations, a couple of food trucks, one Italian sit down restaurant, several churches, the Illinois River Watershed Partnership, and a stop light!

Here's mine. Got a Jackson Mayfly a few months ago. Outfitted it with a trolling motor since I'd rather be fishing than paddling. This thing is earth stable. I've only had it out a few times on some lakes near me, but nothing made me feel like I was going fall in. I think I went overkill on the battery. It's an 85AH AGM which weighs a ton. At least I won't run out of power. Only thing left to do is add navigation lights and possibly a fish finder.

I would love to chat with you on how you attached a motor. I have the exact same kayak and love it but am struggling to figure this out. Thank you!

Wow that’s awesome! Thank you so much for sharing! I love my mayfly and want to tailor it to exactly what I’m looking to accomplish.
