Okay, so,
I have scheduled a trip for the end of this month.
I have reorganized my fly boxes three times.
Waterproofed my stream bag twice.
Reorganized my stream bag six times.
Cleaned and lubricated my reels.
Cleaned and dressed my fly lines.
Changed out my furled leaders.
Tossed my old tippets.
Applied Renaissance wax to my rods. Even those I probably won't fish.
Been tying flies I don't need and probably won't ever fish, read nymphs.
And I have caught myself staring into middle-space in the middle of the day.

I think it's safe to say Spring fever has set in.

For sure! Got out Friday with my son and had a good day. But now it seems to have made the desire even more intense. Have spent the entire winter skiing and jonesing for fresh snow, last night we got 13” of new and all I want to do is fish.

Im assuming that youre in Jackson . Its nice to have that option this time of year. Here in Vermont, I will soon have the choice of skiing, fishing , or golfing. I will fish of course.
When I have made it through a ski season , injury free, I feel blessed.
Make that golf and fish . They just closed the mt early, due to the virus !

Steelhead opener is March 28th, I have that same far away gaze. I will be self quarantined on the river for the month of April- Do not come near me. Do not fish down river from me. :)

Close, I live in the quiet and affordable Teton County, in Idaho. Ski resorts closed here yesterday. Time to dig out the snowdrift blocking access to the barn and get the boat ready.
