That's amazing! Does the whole River look low? I used to live on the 4000 block of American river drive. I miss the area.

If those are of the same area (I think they are) then it looks almost the same. That's not to infer that it looks good but considering the lack of rainfall I guess it's a good thing it isn't completely dry.

I have not been there since 1981 and back then I didn't fish in it because it was 'too large of a river'. I had been fishing small streams and rivers across the Wyoming - Montana - Idaho area and when I saw The American River it looked like the Mississippi to me. It really was a big river just like many others I remember from the 80's. I was able to spend 4 to 5 weeks each summer out there and never realized the changes that would come. Back then I thought I had missed 'The Good Old Days' but as it turned out I was able to be part of them.
