Fly fishing today with a couple friends. Was on Simulator with a nymph dropper.
Caught 2 small brookies at the same time TWICE.
What are the odds.

Not that wild, when trout are podded up they get agressive so its relatively common when they pod up

There area I was fishing hasn’t been stocked since 1968.
I agree with you but they were very aggressive yesterday.

I've had it happen quite a bit. When you are playing the fish it elicits the attack response from other fish on the dangling or lead fly. Just watch as other fish sometimes dart at the fish that's hooked. It's fun and congrats!

I have had it happen at least twice, both times on a small brook trout stream in the Smokies. These are truly wild fish, no stockers there.

You could have popped a triple, which 10 out of 10 do not reccomend
