Sedge Pupa Nymph

Hook: Curved caddis, #12

Thread: Uni-Thread 6/0, olive

Bead: Nymph Head Evolution caddis, small, brown

Body: Antron yarn, olive as a dubbing loop for Hareline dubbing, lt. cahill

Back: Scud back, 1/8", olive

Rib: Monofilament, 4lb

Antennae: Golden Pheasant tail

Legs: Hungarian partridge, natural and olive

Throax: Hareline dubbing, olive hare's ear

Markings, Sharpie marker, brown

Head cement: Bone Dry UV resin

Who makes that dubbing? Wapsi used to have a rabbit fur dubbing in purple that looked similar. I have been searching high and low and cannot find it but this looks like it could be similar. I love the red/pink mixed in with the purple.

It's Wapsi Super Fine dry fly dubbing... #092 (Purple). Although, as you can see below, it's actually a blend of blue and red fibers. I dubbed it onto UTC 70 purple thread for the bodies on those Comparaduns.

I love Comparaduns... nearly indestructible if tied correctly, no flotant needed, and no drying "stuff" required... just wash, false cast, and repeat.

I should mention also the tail fibers there are 10 strands of Microfibbets in light dun.
