Wing - Red fox squirrel
I guess it gets its name from the wing material. No other "red" in the pattern.

I'm replenishing my supply of terrestrials from last week. This week I will be fishing Tongue River Canyon (WY) and a section of the Tongue River in Montana. This Micro Chubby has been very productive on some no-name tribs of the Gallatin in YNP. The streams were surrounded by brush and there are a lot of these Chubbies (mine) in the bushes.
I've been using olive foam because the local shop is out of tan.

Body - 2mm foam - tan - shaped with cutter or scissors
Wing - Bleached elk hair
Indicator Strip - 2mm foam - pink
Legs - Medium round rubber legs - knotted if you prefer
Tie this in different colors - Olive, brown, black, green etc
Indicator strip can be pink, orange, white, yellow chartreuse etc
