I use a vest. Waist packs don't work for me b/c sometimes I wade deeper than my waist. Don't like the packs as well as the vest b/c gear is less accessible than in my vest. I don't overload the vest b/c I know I'll pay for it with a sore back.

Hi, I currently use a lumbar pack with a shoulder harness. There is room for food, water bottles, fly boxes and other items. It works great for me, especially when going on all day trips. I previously used a waist pack, but found it very hard on my back! The shoulder harness seems to make a world of difference for me and I don't wade past my hips so it stays dry. Dimensions: 11"W x 12"H x 5"D.

I use a vest. For the rest of the boxes they go in my tackle bag, that is like a small duffel bag. I don't always bring that bag with me, it depends on what I am targeting that day.
As long as I get a bite, I don't want to leave!

well I am not a woman, but I thought I would wade in here.

you could do like my woman, and just pack EVERYTHING into a backpack, and then have your hubby/BF carry it for you, and just hold the small stuff you need in your vest.

I swear that damn backpack has the Kitchen sink in it by the end of the day...my poor back.

well after I was shot in the knee...I figured I wouldn't get the back pack...I was wrong..."just look at it as PT for your knee" is what I heard for months...oh wait, I still hear it, but I will tell you this...I love fishing with my girl, so the back pack is so worth it.

Elizabeth and I both use the Orvis Safe Passage sling packs after trying everything under the sun, we finally found our happy place. Highly recommend a sling pack.
