Default Help me name my new puppy!

I just committed to a beautiful female golden retriever pup that is the darker red color, the problem is that I simply cannot think of an appropriate name. My wife and I like names with meaning and since this will be my go to fishing buddy, she thought we could look at fishing terminology (nothing is off limits here. Anything from water terms, to fly-tying terms, to leader manufacturers).

I could use some help though, so please offer your thoughtful and creative fishing terms that might just double as a pup's name.

Thanks again,
Seth

Cascapedia, that is a river on the Gaspe' Peninsula in Canada which flows into the St. Lawrence Seaway.

With that as a registered name you could call the pup, Cassy, different yes? I like it, yeah, Cassy. That's it

If I were to name her after a river, I think I aught to have fished it. I do like the creativity though...and cassy isn't a bad name at all either

Also, Hardyreels, We do like Brooke. It is on the list.

You could always pick a river with a female name- Madison and call her Maddie, Skykomish and call her Sky, etc.

But I'd suggest naming her after the first female author of a fishing book- Dame Juliana Berners http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Juliana_Berners and calling her Julie. I think it seems like a fitting name for the happy hyper red-head that's headed your way.

My loyal-mutt is called Bailey, I knew I should have called him Nautilus or Sage...
