I don't typically take pictures, especially when I'm fishing alone because its such a hassle; it almost spoils the moment trying to fumble with a camera with slick hands especially when I'm not using a net. I'll share what I do have though. Hope Ard is looking, these are all PA fish (sorry can't find any brook trout pics)

This one would have to be way up on the list of most beautiful fish I've caught.

I've got nothing to compete with a native, Cali-high-country Golden Trout (until I catch one of my own), but my favorite trout stream back in PA ran through chunk rock with high iron content and influenced by limestone aquifers... I always thought the Brown Trout from Bushkill Creek had a bit more "dazzle" than the other streams I fished.

This is a brook trout after I released it. Very pretty fish, IMHO. Also, all its fins and tail are completely intact - no cuts, ragged edges, or anything else.

Default Re: Your Most Beautiful Fish?

So I recently just picked up fly fishing and am lucky enough to live in an area that is great for it, especially trout. Main place so far has been Hobart Reservoir which is 30 minutes up a dirt road from my house where they stock brook, rainbow and tiger.

First brook on my first time up there....

One of my first Tiger.... such a beautiful fish and got to watch him stick his head out of the weeds and take off after the fly (trico indicator parachute)

one of the few rainbows I have caught. Seems like depending on the area of the Reservoir I fish is what determines what I will catch.

Love it! I've spent a LOT of hours on the hard deck up at Promised Land (upper) Lake chasing big 'seeds, 'gills, perch, and crappie. Pumpkinseeds were always my favorite though... broad fillets and sweet meat!
