Thread: lets talk llano..

  1. Default lets talk llano..

ive been itching to get down there for a while. but havent had the time or knowledge to head out. im dying to catch a rio and guad. where would be the best area of the river to do some wading. from what ive read the south llano at the state park sounds solid. ill be ruffing it, so the state park is prolly where ill be setting up camp. but im open to any ideas. any tips/hints/hotspotting would be appreciated.

i know oktoberfisch is coming up, but without a solid schedule i cant line anything up too early. plus im not much into crowds.

Now that we're talking about my neck of the woods, HOTSPOTTING ON PUBLIC FORUMS IS NOT WELCOME. (dirtywater I'll PM you some info, PM's are perfect for sharing info with discretion) But yes, SLSP is a pretty fine base to work from in that area.

You'd likely be best off to wait until the river has cleared after these rains. It was RAGING at Mason y'day but I'm less sure about the Junction area. I put up a report from my last trip out there called Distant Oasis http://www.theflyfishingforum.com/fo...=distant+oasis

I'd rather hunt fish than bait deer any day.
