We decided to make a quick day trip to the LMF River on Thanksgiving. Weather again was just outstanding. Started out at the Evening Hole but sure thought it would be filled to the brim with other fishers enjoying the beautiful weather, but was not. I was the only one(that I saw) on the water in that section. I caught plenty of small browns and bows in that section and did catch a few larger ones that put a nice bend in the rod and a strong fight. Air temps were again in the low 60s and the water temp was around 60 degrees. Water flows had been cut back due to the ongoing work on the Cold Hole Bridge which was washed out back in the 2015 flood releases. Water flows are still in very nice shape though. After lunch, went to the Zone II section and it was very slow fishing. In fact, only had one trout on briefly and didn't hardly see any other trout rising. Rather discouraging on that. But again.... We had a great day in the outdoors, and our grilled hot dogs made for a pretty good Thanksgiving dinner!
