Made a camping trip to the Lower Mt. Fork River near Broken Bow, Oklahoma and had a great time. Very few people and the weather and fishing was great. Only three other campers in our loop during the week so it was very quiet. Cool nights and warm days with light winds and no rain. The fishing was very good and Zone II produced the best for me. Lots of 16-19" bows with my largest being 22". Caught most on nymph patterns and only a couple on dries. Fished Zone I as well and caught plenty of the small browns in the Evening Hole and lower Spillway Creek. Also caught quite a few small rainbows in Spillway swinging soft hackles. Did have a few encounters with snakes, but that's to be expected this time of year. Again, we had a great time at Beaver's Bend State Park.
