  1. Default Brazos river below Lake Whitney dam.

    I am relatively new to fly fishing and would appreciate any tips regarding fly selection, or casting below the Lake Whitney dam.

    I fished there once a few years ago and had the best luck on small blue and white clousers. (size 6 & 8) There's actually a fairly wide open plain down there and casting is easier than you'd expect.

    With the recent torrential rains, I'd check into conditions before heading there.
