    Hi clouserminnow22,

Welcome to NAFFF. You will find it is a great forum for new fly fishers to learn.

You can learn a lot by reading some of the older threads. If you use the Search tool you can zero in on specific questions. If you ask questions you will get better information limiting your questions to a single topic. Then the members can really zero in on your question. When you get around to asking about equipment make sure you include what you will be fishing for, where you will be fishing and your budget.

You will be surprised how quick you can learn the basics with help from the great members on NAFFF.

    Hi Clouser,

Welcome to the forum from NE PA!

There are some great trout waters in the central part of our state (Commonwealth, actually). Try Fishing Creek, Penns, the Little Juniata, etc.; all located around the State College area. I think that you'll enjoy both the challenges and the rewards of fly fishing.

    Welcome CM22,

You live in a great Commonwealth for fishing and if you become as good at fly fishing as you are with your spin gear remember 'Limit your kill don't kill your limit'.

If you already practice catch & release fishing please disregard the quote.

    Welcome to the group,
