    Default Hello from eastern Nebraska

    Hello to all,

I just found this forum and after reading some posts I found so much information I just had to join.

Here's a little background on myself.

I just recently learned how to cast a fly rod (about 2 weeks ago).
Fly fishing has very quickly become my favorite way to fish. I'm not quite sure what it is but I find it very relaxing. All of my fly fishing so far has been on the shore of a small pond.

I have yet to learn how to tie my own flies but hope to soon fix that problem.

    Tight lines,

    Hal

I must be a little slow today. I didn't get your joke right away JP. Going to get another cup of coffee while I try and stop laughing. Welcome to the forum Hal.

Welcome to the forum Hal, you should have a blast chasing bass and bluegill.

As you get into fly fishing and tying you'll probably have a lot of questions- we all did-- so ask away-- lot's of helpful folks here.

    Thanks Mark.

There's a lot of information on here..and I've only read a few things. I have a picture of the first bass I caught but no one will ever see it..the 'gill are bigger then the bass was.
