  1. Default Good to Be Here.

Ive been an avid fisherman since I was a young tot growing up near the banks of the Jackson River here in Virginia, many years before the construction of Gathright dam and the creation of what now is Lake Moomaw. The lake was responsible for submerging 300 plus acres of family owned land dated back to the 1700s. The bright side of this is the tailwaters that it created. Instead of 2 lb rockbass the river now is one of the best coldwater trout streams on the east coast. The smaller mountain streams here are full of beautiful native brookies as an added plus. Honestly..I cant think of a place Id rather be.
Well..enough about me and thanks for allowing access to this wonderful site. Tight lines..
A bad day of fishing beats a good day at work..

Welcome to the group! Sounds like you are in a great place to be.

I'd rather hunt fish than bait deer any day.
