Greetings from Hollister, CA. I am a new member. I've been fly fishing on and off, mostly "off," for about thirty years. Now as I near retirement age I'm gearing up for the long or short stretch that will include as much fly fishing (and spin fishing) for trout, bass, pan fish, carp, saltwater surf perch, stripers, and whatever other kind of fish I can inveigle to attack my hook!

I tie my own flies, or try to, and I am beginning to build my own fishing rods. I have a little one-person pontoon boat so that I can quickly and easily row through some of the small lakes that are around my neck of the woods.

Hi Pat,

Hollister brings back memories. I worked there in 1955. My dad was there July 4th, 1947 on his BSA motorcycle. I heard a lot of stories about that day. Welcome to retirement land.
