Default The Displaced Fly Fisher

Hi Folks,
I am from Alberta where I have spent most of my life. My Dad got me going on fly fishing and trout at a very young age. I currently live in Longview Texas and have been learning to fly fish for Bass. I tie my own flies and build my own rods and enjoy the world of fly fishing immensly.

Hey Phillip,

Let's go back to Alberta for trout and leave the bass right where we found them ... except for the smallmouths.

Hello Phil:

Welcome to the forum and welcome to East Texas. I live not too far from you in Tyler, TX. Have you had a chance to attend a meeting of the East Texas Fly Fishers in Longview? Its a good club. I'll be speeking there in August on Fly Fishing Southwest Colorado. Hopefully we can meet then.

Thanks again for joining the forum. I hope you enjoy it here. Let me know if I can help.

Thanks,
Steve
