What do you really need to know about me? Probably not much...but, here are a few.

Grew up in MT
Flyfishing for about 20 years or more now.
Prefer skinny water with a 2 or 3wt.
I make sure to make it to either GNP or YNP each summer.
Not much beats a cuttie.
Tie my own, but not afraid to buy a few.
I once bought a chicken from a 4H kid at a fair because I really liked the hackles...

Wow! I thought everyone in MT chunked articulated streamers from a drift boat with a 6 weight! ;)

I like the skinny stuff as well and you are 100% about the cutties! Welcome

Welcome!

Looking forward to some good stories! Sounds like you've got some! I sure hope I get the opportunity to see those beautiful cutthroat trout on my line some day.

Question: Did you tell the kid why you were buying the chicken? :D

Welcome to the forum!! Slowly but surely I'm making my way north to fish. Perhaps we'll cross lines one day.

No...he had a tag on the cage for $25 and I didn't even haggle with him. I didn't want to tell a 10 year old that as soon as I got home I was gonna lop off its head. That was also the first time I tanned my own chicken skin to keep the feathers. Use them all the time on EHC.
