Morning all, I started fly fishing when I was a teenager (20'ish) years ago back home in Maine. I fished a lot of the rivers up that way to include the Androscoggin, Kenebec, and Saco to name a few. Anyway, I got out of it for a long time while I was on active duty and then had kids and started a family. Fast forward to 2018 and the bug got me again. I currently reside within a couple of hours of the Cheat and Blackwater Rivers in WV. I've never fished anything out this way so it'll be interesting.
I learned to fly fish on Orvis rods so I gravitated that way when I picked up my new rod. I chose the Orvis Recon 9' 5wt. for my re-intro into fly fishing. I still had my old fly vest from my teen years and surprisingly the flys look to be in good shape. We'll see though.
