Playa del Carmen in January - Guide?

I will be in Playa del Carmen from January 6-12. I am hoping to get a guide for one day of flats fishing. Has anyone had a positive experience with a guide there? I am looking for some recommendations on who to use.

Look up Mikel Fishtory. He is a DYI, walking/wading, or paddle board guide just South of Playa. The winds were blowing some 30+ mph and we didn't catch anything but then he didn't charge me anything either.
