    Default Rowlesburg, WV

I heard of a stream in the Rowlesburg area called Wolf Creek. It feeds the Cheat River outside of Rowlesburg along Rt. 50. What I heard is that it's full of native brookies and browns. Also, heard it's surrounded by private property. Anyone know of this creek and if so, are the rumors true? Also, I would like to know if anyone fished it and if there is any area not private property that can be accessed? I'm going to check it out this week and do some door bell ringin' . If anyone has a heads up for me before I go begging for permission, please let me know. Thanks in advanced.

Don't forget that small streams can take a real beating from big internet posts. You may now have a lot more company knocking on those doors than you want. Just a thought.

Thought of that, but I was in hope of PM's not actual posts. Hopefully some of the people knowing any info will have the sense to PM me. Besides, word is that no one can fish it due to the area surrounded by private property.

Maybe next time do something like, "please pm me if you have info rather than public post." Again, just a suggestion. But now that I think about it, your initial post was all that was needed to set things in motion, by describing the location so clearly. Sometimes I think its better to just do a the legwork, on the ground, yourself, rather than broadcast locations. It's a downside to the internet; we forget that we can find things out for ourselves. Hopefully, no harm, no foul. And I make my suggestion in the spirit of protecting precious resources, nothing else.
