i am going up there around may 12 is there any good advice for me on hatches delayed harvest areas or how bout the brandywine river you think the smallies are out then or am i too early

Smallies have been tearing up the flies on the Swatara Creek. Don't know about the Susquehanna yet. If your going for trout make sure to hit up Clarks Creek off Rt 325 near Dauphin. Small dries and terestrials work well.

Mid-May in SEPA should be approaching prime "sulphur" time... be sure to have a good selection of PT nymphs, emergers, rusty spinners, and dry's in sizes 14-18 (although the 18's can actually wait until the end of May when the dorothea's are the dominant "sulphur").

Hatch times for the early (mid-May) sulphur's should be mid/late afternoons... pushing towards evening if you happen catch a hot spell. The Ephemerella nymphs will be very active and exposed during the time you'll be there.

If you'll be near the Lehigh Valley I could point you to specific streams/areas.

The sulphurs are just starting to make their appearence here in OH so I can only imagine the same is happening out to the east. Check out the PFBC web site and the interactive map, you can zoom in on the county and set the map to show Class A wild, stocked, special reg, and so on. Its pretty neat.
