Stoney Creek Va.
Living in the dc area this was my first time out. I usually fish WV or PA but as hunting fell through the day before Thanksgiving, I read up on trout streams within a short drive from the VA suburbs.

Switchfishers reviews led me to Murray's fly shop and then about 5 miles up the road to Stoney Creek stocked water. Threw ants, buggers, strymphs and nymphs without luck. Managed a strike on a green salmon egg fly but pulled it out of the fishes mouth...

Day started overcast, cleared up with some afternoon sun and finished up cloudy again... Low water but fun time out. Am looking forward to more exploring soon. Thanks to Switchfisher for his reviews and others for their input as well.
