Thought I would share some pics of a recent trip to the Rapidan. I recently bought an old WM Granger Victory 7' 4 weight that's just perfect for these little streams and I wanted to take it on it's maiden voyage. It wasn't a half bad day of winter brookie fishin'.

A typical pool on the Rapidan:

This one almost got me into the backing:

Great pics. They're encouraging me to maybe hit the Rapidan sometime in the next few weeks.

Very nice pictures, looks like a great spot. I can't wait for the waters to open up around here.

As well nice little brookie, they always have lots of energy.

Thanks everyone. The Rap is actually one of the bigger streams in the SNP and gives up some nice size brookies. The biggest brookie I've ever caught in the Park (11") came from this stream on, appropriately enough, a Mr. Rapidan Ant.
