    Thanks Dan. I don't think many people think of VA when they think of fly fishing destinations but it definitely has a lot to offer. I'm biased, I know, since it's my home state but I still think it's one of the prettiest states I've been too. (Although it's hard to compete with MT).

    The only thing I would change about VA, if I could, would be the summers. July and August can be brutal...

    Yes, I would never have thought of VA as a good trout destination until I got back into fishing last year after being in the state for a few years. There's some great water here, and the Park is both a challenge and a wonder (and, at times, very fun).

    The summers do get rough (I'm a western PA boy), but at least there are some big smallies to deal with then.

    10-4 on that. You can't beat that top-water action on the James in the summer for smallies. I'll be throwing some of Bear's deer hair bugs at em here pretty soon. Until then, maybe Ard will send me a couple 'Answers' to try out at Mossy. Hint, Hint. Of course I'd be willing to trade some of my own creations.

    Those are some nice pictures man. I went fishing in Shannendoah once, it's an awesme place.
