How late in the year

New to fly fishing and was wondering how late in the year people are out fishing?

If you have any spring creeks, all year long if legal; although after the temp reaches 30* it becomes difficult due to ice in the line guides and so on.

You might want to try the Swift River in Belchertown. It's a tailwater so it has a fairly constant water temp all year long
On the minus side, the C&R area is short, it's heavily fished, and the trout are highly educated.
