Default A Day in Maine

I've had an Echo3 7'6" 3 WT for a while, but never used it in earnest.
I took it to Maine one day last week to see what the fishing was like there.
The fishing was very good.
I caught 7 fish about this size.

These really put a bend in the old 3 wt. The net opening is 15".

I definitely will be going back.

Wow,

I'll say that again, wow, I fished Maine for many years and never caught a brook trout like that let alone 7 of them! Heck I don't catch 7 Dolly Varden Char (AK. Brook Trout) like that in a day, if I have a good year maybe in a year. I'd keep a tight lip on where and how!

Nice fish for sure, I don't see them like that up here very often, savor the moment. I've got to ask, is that your glasses in the water or are they hanging off of something.

They're mine. I just use them for tying on flies.
They fell out of my pocket as I was taking the picture.

A light weight blue line rod whacking 4lb brook trout?? Last week? Your first time??? I was there last week, pre-sucker spawn and worked insanely hard for a few 3.5lbers on huge streamers and and nymphs. You must be really talented.

I have to admit I was surprised myself as the rivers where'd you'd normally find fish like that are over their banks with ice water.
But to be jealous of someone else's success ?... bad form dude
