A bear took a dump in our campsite the other day.
It was literally a steaming pile

Speaking of going off the trail............. Have any of you ever read the book, How To S_ _ _ in The Woods? No joke here there is a book by that title and it's about proper technique and is fairly funny.

Since this discussion is about poop I thought it appropriate to mention the book.

^ I wish the *bear* had read that...maybe he wouldn't have gone right in the middle of the trail.

What blows my mind even more is that you pulled fish out of the Nis?!

I've only been twice, I went last weekend and tromped up and down and all around. I admit I saw one or two risers during a rather impressive hatch that I would have thought would have shown a lot more activity but other than that... I caught a single dang bluegill!

When I went last year, it was thick with gillies and bass.

What's the trick? I keep hearing it's a great river but both times I've been I've been terrifically skunked! I have the Evening Sun map from Charlie, too, and he and others in the shop sure seem to think there's fish out there (and catch them)!

Ha! I guess I got really lucky. I went with 3 others and managed to catch 4 while the others went empty handed. To tell the truth, I would have gladly given up some of that luck so that we each caught one, but it wasn't meant to be that day. I've since been back and while the fish were rising all around, none ended up on my hook.

Looks like bear poop to me and probably several days old. When the poop diameter is as big as a coke can you can figure it is a very large bear.

Hey I'm just glad to see a beauty of a fish like that come out of that river. Good one!

Though my luck has been bad there, it is a beautiful place and I'll certainly be back.
